Stunning Folding E Bike – Homeric E Bike Review

today we're taking a look at the homeric electric
falling bike and that's coming up right after this so today we're taking a look at the first
folding and first electric bike on this channel   and full disclosure i'm a tech reviewer and
not an electric bike expert so this is based on   the tech specs and my own experience with it the
homework electric bike is an electric bike to get   around town with these and make those cycles a lot
more comfortable and easy first things first you   can see it's a bright orange color and although
very bold i really do like the look of this bike   it's powered up by a 250 watt motor and it comes
with a choice of three different electric speeds   and six mechanical gears we get top speeds of
up to 25 Km an hour but you can still pedal past   this now the homeric electric bike contains a 7.8
amp hour battery that's seated inside the frame   it provides a 50 to 80 Km range and i'm not
sure if this was just for comedy but you can see   the battery's name is long ting it's ipx4 rated
which means in testing it was standard splashing   on all sides for 5 minutes with 10 litres
splashing per minute the frame is made of a   magnesium alloy and overall it feels pretty well
built while still being easy enough to pick up   we've got an lcd display on the top that shows
remaining battery distance traveled mileage total   mileage as well as current speed this lcd panel
is also where you select your electronical speeds   so this bike is aimed at being a compact electric
bike well suited up for someone who needs a cycle   to work and carry it in or maybe cycle to a train
station fold it up and carry on the train it folds   up into a relatively small size you simply un
clamp the bike and fold it in half the bike then   holds itself in half using a magnet and i really
like this approach it's plenty strong enough to   hold in place but it can still be pulled apart
easy enough the handlebar falls down to make it   even more compact you can fold up the pedals and
completely remove the seat there's also a lock for   the battery so if you are leaving it somewhere
with the battery inside then it can't easily be   stolen but personally i just took the battery and
the seat with me when leaving it there's also two   stands on the bike there's one for when it's
fully unfolded and the other stand is to hold   it in the folded position the process of folding
and unfolding the bike is incredibly easy to do so   i'm very impressed with this aspect when it comes
to cycling it's also pretty comfortable to cycle   the seat is adjustable and the handlebars are
high enough one thing i would say to watch out   for here is if you're relatively short then
the seat's minimum height could cause an issue   the control of the lcd display is simple with
the three button system you hold the m button   to turn it on and you can also press this
to change between the displays on the lcd   we've got a plus and minus button to adjust the
speeds between one two and three settings and you   can also hold the plus button to turn on and off
the light we've got a light on the front of the   bike and a standard reflector on the back and you
get disc brakes on both the front and rear brakes   when it comes to the cycling it's nice and
relaxing to cycle it's pedal assisted so you   do need to pedal you can't just go on your own and
then the motor just does the hard work it's got an   assist option between one two and three and to
be honest i always had this on three for maximum   assist there were also six mechanical gears and
i pretty much always had this on the highest gear   apart from when climbing very steep hills so what
you get with this is just a nice relaxing cycle   at all times whether it's flat uphill or down the
motor pulls away smoothly and of course depending   on the setting you have it on depends how much
it's going to propel you forward as you pedal   in the uk we've got the right brake
on the handlebar as the front brake   and the left brake is always the back on this
bike however it's the opposite way round so the   left is the front brake in the right is the back
now this was a little bit weird and awkward at   first but i quickly became used to it as soon as
i had some time so i've used this quite a lot over   the past couple of months and it feels relatively
sturdy i've cycled up some big hills and it makes   things so much easier than without an electric
bike when coming down steep hills you do have to   be careful not to go too fast though because this
is a compact bike with small wheels it's not the   safest to be going too fast on it when i say too
fast we've got steep hills around here but i can   easily get to 40 miles per hour which is 64 Km
an hour and at those speeds i did have to slow   down with such small wheels on this bike a hole
in the road hit at speed could cause an accident   now of course it's not really designed for that
use and it recommends not to be cycling down steps   or large drops and of course this is an electric
bike and not a mountain bike i've been dropping   off curbs with no issues but that's pretty
much it as i've mainly been cycling on the road   it's also ipx4 water resistant so probably not
the best i did cycle in really heavy rain during   my testing of the bike the weather has been pretty
good so i've only cycled in light rain and haven't   been able to test with any heavy rain damage but
overall my thoughts are it's a good bike for those   of you that want some quick transport around
the city or to work the battery just slides out   so you can charge it any way you want without
needing the bike near the socket it's also got   a reasonable range of 50 to 80 kilometers an hour
and the 25 kilometer top speed was fast enough to   get me where i needed to be now as i said this
is my first electric bike so i'm no expert but   it's given me a relatively pleasing experience
for the country roads with steep hills and big   potholes it's not really the most suitable but i
just had to go a bit slower there and it made it   a lot more safer but around towns and cities it's
been perfect it cycles well the brake works well   and again it is easy to charge my only annoyance
is having the brakes run the wrong way now i've   placed a link down in the description below for
those of you that want to take a look on amazon   and as always if there's anything i've missed
or you've got any questions then leave them in   the comments and i'll get back to you as soon as i
can but thanks for watching the video if you liked   it smash a thumbs up if you didn't hit the thumbs
down twice and i'll see you guys in the next one you
